Lisa Im

Chief Executive Officer

Lisa Im is the Chief Executive Officer of Performant Financial Corporation. Ms. Im has focused the company on expanding its trusted advisory services, business process management, and technology solutions to public and private sector customers across the healthcare, education, and financial asset recovery industries. Ms. Im has led the company and its passionate, dedicated employees through years of robust growth and innovation. Under her guidance, Performant has built strategic partnerships with customers, who depend upon Performant to manage billions of dollars in assets to deliver extraordinary returns.

Ms. Im, a 20-year veteran in corporate growth and operational strategies, has been in leadership ranks at some of the largest global consumer product goods companies, during which time she helped grow market share, volume, and diversity. During her tenures at Kraft and BestFoods, Im served in both executive level operational and financial leadership capacities throughout the United States.

Ms. Im received her MBA in finance from California State University, East Bay, and her BA in marketing from Loma Linda University.

Dr. Jon Shaver

Chairman of Board of Directors

Jon Shaver is the Chairman of Board of Directors of Performant. Dr. Shaver is involved in corporate affairs, including a leadership role in the company's government engagement, mergers and acquisition strategy, and legal counsel. Dr. Shaver possesses great depth in the education and government markets and has actively participated in milestone initiatives both prior to joining Performant, and within Performant strategic efforts. Dr. Shaver brings extensive leadership experience in large student loan guarantors, student aid commissions, and legislative affairs.

Dr. Shaver previously served as President and CEO of EdFund where he helped to shape the infrastructure of educational support in California, and spearheaded key legislation directed at improving its educational platforms. He has also served as Executive Director and CEO for the California Student Aid Commission, and held several executive leadership roles within California State University.

Dr. Shaver received his Ed.D. in organization and administrative studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds an MBA in marketing from Pepperdine University, an MS in higher education administration and a BA in history from SUNY at Brockport.

Hal Leach

Chief Operating Officer

Hal Leach is the Chief Operating Officer of Performant and is a recognized operations strategy leader within the financial asset recovery industry. He has the unique license to leverage synergies and commonality company-wide, in efforts to drive both logistics and operational excellence to ensure total Performant capabilities are executed.

During his tenure, Mr. Leach led the development and implementation of audit and recovery technology. His full circle process analysis and improvement plans in the call center space has allowed the company to recover billions of dollars for customers in the past 20 years, and made it number one in its industry. He was instrumental in the company successfully achieving ISO 9002 certification.

As a recognized government partner, his team continues their efforts to help public agencies improve audit and recovery efficiencies. Mr. Leach's expertise in high regulatory and compliance environments has cultivated key roles with customers and Congress and on matters related to government debt management. He has served as an advisor to the Internal Revenue Service regarding recovery contract services and offered counsel on industry best practices and policies.

Hakan L. Orvell

Chief Financial Officer

Hakan L. Orvell has served as our Chief Financial Officer since November 2006. He is responsible for the company's corporate finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis.

Mr. Orvell has over 20 years of experience from various industries and previous experience includes service as chief financial officer of Neopost, Inc., a manufacturer of office equipment. He has also held various financial leadership positions with Corporate Express (currently known as Staples), a large business-to-business distributor of office and computer products, including vice president and controller in both a division and regional capacity.

He received his Certified Public Accountant accreditation in Illinois and received an MBA from the University of Stockholm.

John Paik

Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

John Paik is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Performant Financial Corporation. Mr. Paik is responsible for developing and leading Performant's strategic growth initiatives across both Government and Commercial markets. In this role, Mr. Paik works closely with our state, federal and commercial clients to develop effective and efficient technology-enabled audit, recovery and analytics solutions that build on Performant's brand as a market leader.

Mr. Paik has more than 18 years of experience in management consulting, business development, strategic planning, marketing, sales and healthcare innovation. From November 2007 to November 2011, Mr. Paik held various leadership positions at Pfizer Inc., including Vice President, Customer Marketing and Innovation across all global business units for Account Management and Sales. Mr. Paik has held national leadership positions at Fortune 100 companies and management consulting firms, including Aetna, Pfizer and Towers Watson.

Mr. Paik received his B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and completed graduate coursework in Immunology from the Cornell Graduate School for Medical Sciences.

Bruce Calvin

Senior Vice President of Corporate Services

Bruce Calvin is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services. Mr. Calvin is responsible for all Performant's human resources activities, including workforce development and organizational effectiveness, benefits and compensation, staffing, and HR processes and information management.

Mr. Calvin is instrumental in building a high-commitment and performance based culture via a dedicated team of HR professionals who focus on creating a collaborative environment with emphasis on total business capabilities. He is personally engaged in the implementation of best practices in regards to competitive programs, policies, actions and audits with respect to executive/management/employee compensation, motivation programs and employee benefits and services. Mr. Calvin also ensures that employee relations are compliant with employment statutes and labor laws.

Mr. Calvin joined Performant after extensive executive roles with ESS Technology, Inc. and NEC Electronics. While at ESS Technology, he was a member of senior executive committee responsible for re-engineering all financial, legal, IT & HR policies and procedures. He was also accountable as the Compliance Officer creating policies and procedures that resulted in zero post dating issues.

Mr. Calvin received a Juris Doctorate from John F. Kennedy School of Law and a BS in Business Administration from Troy University, Troy, Alabama.
