Insight Data System uses a single, elegant mechanism (the Seed) to express the logic of both data processing tasks and database queries. Seeds are a superset of the possible operations performed by SQL. Because the complex analyses used in a wide range of data analytic problem domains are, at their heart, more data processing than database query, Insight Data System Seeds can represent these analyses far easier and more completely than with a SQL-based system. For example, SQL cannot direct output of two tables from a join. Seeds can process input from an unlimited number of tables, producing output to an unlimited number of tables, all within one single to state operation.
